To settle in the UK and call it home, you'll need to demonstrate your commitment to British life. This isn't just about paperwork - it's about showing you understand and can contribute to British society.
要喺英國定居並稱之為家，你需要展示你對英國生活嘅承諾。呢個唔只係關於文件——而係展示你理解並能夠為英國社會作出貢獻。
यूके में बसने और इसे घर कहने के लिए, आपको ब्रिटिश जीवन के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता प्रदर्शित करनी होगी। यह केवल कागजी कार्रवाई के बारे में नहीं है - यह दिखाने के बारे में है कि आप समझते हैं और ब्रिटिश समाज में योगदान कर सकते हैं।

The Life in the UK Test
英國生活入籍考試
The test contains 24 questions based on the official handbook. You need to answer at least 18 correctly (75%) to pass. Questions are written at ESOL Entry Level 3, so passing also demonstrates English ability.
考試包含24條基於官方手冊嘅問題。你需要正確回答至少18條（75%）先能通過。題目以ESOL Entry Level 3程度撰寫，所以通過亦能證明英語能力。

Most people applying through work visas (Tier 1 and Tier 2) must pass the Life in the UK test. If your English is below Entry Level 3, you can take an ESOL course with citizenship content instead.
大多數通過工作簽證（Tier 1同Tier 2）申請嘅人必須通過英國生活入籍考試。如果你嘅英語低於Entry Level 3，你可以選擇修讀包含公民內容嘅ESOL課程。

The Application Process 申請流程
Once you pass the test, you can apply for permanent residence (Indefinite Leave to Remain) or British citizenship. The specific form and evidence required depends on your circumstances. Application fees vary by type.

For settlement or permanent residence, you need to: 1) Pass the Life in the UK test, AND 2) Provide evidence of English speaking and listening skills at B1 level (CEFR), equivalent to ESOL Entry Level 3.
