The Life in the UK Test is a computer-based test that assesses your knowledge of British traditions, history, and everyday life. You need to pass this test to apply for British citizenship or permanent residence (Indefinite Leave to Remain).
The test consists of 24 questions that you must answer within 45 minutes. You need to answer at least 18 questions correctly (75%) to pass.

Monthly plans can be cancelled any time from Dashboard > Manage Subscription. Your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. Pass Packs are one-time purchases with no recurring billing, so there is nothing to cancel: your access simply ends after 90 days.
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: if you request a refund within 14 days of purchase and have completed fewer than 2 full practice tests, we refund you in full. After 14 days, or after heavier use, purchases are non-refundable. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled any time and access continues to the end of the billing period. Pass Packs also come with our Pass Guarantee: sit the official test within your 90 days and do not pass, and we extend your access by another 90 days for free. The official test must be taken at an approved test center. Visit gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test to find test centers near you and book your test. The test costs £50 and you'll need to bring valid ID on the day.
On mobile devices, you can swipe left or right to navigate between questions. Swipe left to go to the next question, and swipe right to go back. This works on tests, exams, flashcards, and the listen pages.
Yes! During tests and exams, you can flag any question by clicking the flag icon next to the question number. Flagged questions will be highlighted in the progress tracker, and you can click the flag counter to jump to the first flagged question for quick review.
Yes! During mock exams, you can click the timer to pause. A beautiful analog clock will appear showing your remaining time. The timer also automatically pauses when you listen to audio, so you have time to understand the question without losing exam time.
When time runs out, a popup will show your progress - how many questions you answered vs remaining. You can choose to continue answering (without timer) or view your results immediately. Your progress is always saved, so you won't lose any work.
